Kuhn among favorites for KC Indoor Midget Race
Brown & Armstrong slated for double duty

Kansas City,Mo., Nov. 16---Brad Kuhn winner of six midget racing driving championships is among the latest enteries for the 1st annual "Twas the Midgets before Christmas" on Dec. 19-20 inside Kansas City's Kemper Arena.
        The two-day event will feature The O’Reilly POWRI National Midget Series, O’Reilly POWRI 600 Micro Sprints, Racing Experience Midwest Outlaw Lightning Sprints, Legends Cars, and Dwarf/Modlite Cars. Over $50,000 in purses have been posted for the first automobile race held in the 19,500 seat arena with a temporary dirt racing surface.
        Kuhn's championships include the National Midget Driver of the Year ('05, '06), Badger Midget Series ('06, '07), POWRi ('06), and USAC Regional ('05). The driver fromAvon, Ind. has also captured 36 midget feature victories in the past five years.   
        Two drivers Austin Brown and Caleb Armstrong are slated to compete in the both the National Midget and 600 Micro events. Brown won two 600 features and finished in the top ten in both POWRi National & Micro points. Armstrong maded hs midget debut late in the season, after winning the USAC Kenyon Car Series Championship.
        Other early entries for the midget event include: USAC Triple Crown Champions Jerry Coons Jr., and Dave Darland, along with J.J.Yeley, Danny Lasoski, Cory Kruseman,Brad Loyet, and Joe Boyles. Friday Night's feature will pay $5,000 to the winner, with Saturday Nights first place prize carrying a $10,000 payoff, with $500 to start the feature.       
        Gates open both days at 1pm for practice and heat races for support classes. The entire midget race program will start after 7:00 pm, along with feature events for the other divisions.
