SPENCER PUTS A LID ON CRA SEASON SATURDAY AS THE �GLENN HOWARD MEMORIAL� UNFOLDS AT THE PAS
� � � �Mike Spencer of Temecula, Calif. will conclude his climb to the top of the Lucas Oil USAC/CRA Sprint Car rankings this Saturday when the �Glenn Howard Memorial� brings down the curtain on the 2008 series at Perris (Calif.) Auto Speedway.
� � � �Spencer has a 78-point lead over runner-up Blake Miller with only 74 points available Saturday. Spencer has 10 �podium� finishes this year, including a win, five seconds and four fourths. Miller�s eight �podium� finishes also include a win and he will try to maintain the lead he has on third-ranking Danny Sheridan, which stands at 51 points.
� � � �Spencer and Sheridan are the only two drivers to start all 32 features so far this year.
� � � �Fans will also want to keep an eye on fourth-ranking Tony Jones, who recently won four straight features at The PAS and has 18 career wins in the competitive series. Saturday�s race is the 98th for the USAC/CRA Sprint cars at the 1/2-mile dirt oval.
