NSSN launches a redesigned Web site
America's oldest motorsports publication's online version will emphasize daily news and reader interaction

HARRISBURG, N.C. - National Speed Sport News, America's weekly motorsports authority for nearly 75 years, will expand its presence on the World Wide Web with the July 25 launch of the newly designed www.nationalspeedsportnews.com.

The revamped Web site will be updated on a daily basis with free content available to all Internet users. NSSN subscribers will continue to be provided with exclusive access to the content that appears every week in the nation's oldest and most comprehensive motorsports publication.

"We wanted to have a Web site that better reflected the history and breadth of coverage that National Speed Sport News has provided through the years," said Corinne Economaki, president/publisher of NSSN, "but we also wanted to appeal to the new generation of racing enthusiasts who are more apt to get their information online."

Blogs written by many of NSSN's columnists and contributors will be featured on the site, along with other types of reader interaction. An online store will be available on the site as well for those interested in purchasing official NSSN merchandise and other items.

Active NSSN subscribers will be able to bookmark their favorite pages, sign up for e-mail blasts on breaking news, post messages to the writers' blogs and access links to other racing Web sites. Non-subscribers will have the opportunity to peruse the free sections of the site, which will include daily news stories. Additionally, the site offers an opportunity for potential customers to order subscriptions to National Speed Sport News. Online-only subscriptions are also available.

In addition, the new site will better showcase NSSN and its role as a benchmark in auto-racing history and motorsports coverage. While most racing publications concentrate on a specific geographic region or a particular type of racing, NSSN is the only publication attempting to cover every series, every track, every week.

"No other site will have the amount of information, the depth of information and the ability to connect the racing dots," Economaki said.

NSSN has offered the most extensive coverage of motorsports around the world since 1934. Featuring the column written by the legendary Chris Economaki since 1950, and contributions from racing's most talented reporters and columnists, NSSN provides reliable weekly content for serious fans, drivers, crew members and industry leaders.
